This is the first and foremost of 3 C4L blogsites. Each of these is a
"silo" of postings gathered thematically. These C4L bulletins and
prayer letters go back over several years, with the newest rising to the
top. A deep read will therefore reflect an evolution of thinking.
Earlier on there was recognition of the problem, more recently some
musings about what can be done, what works, and what hasn't worked.
Oliver Tambo said: "A nation that doesn't take care of its youth has no future. And doesn't deserve one."
Davos 2014 noted that South Africa has the second highest rate of
youth unemployment worldwide. So its theme of Inequality pertains
not only to poor and rich, black and white, women and men - but also
to youth and their elders.
